Seabridge Gold

With the acquisition of SnipGold Corp., Seabridge Gold inherited a stable of active permits including four mining/mineral exploration permits (Johnny Mountain, Iskut Property, Golden Triangle Property and the Snip North Property) as well as two Licenses of Occupation covering the Bronson Slope Airstrip and an adjacent property which houses the camp and storage buildings. These permits are in good standing as of June 2016 and authorize all of the work planned for the 2016 program including mineral exploration, reclamation and supporting activities such as camp construction and stripping operations.

In conjunction with the 2016 exploration program, Seabridge plans on spending an estimated $755,000 this summer on environmental work to ensure compliance with existing authorizations and to begin the evaluation and development of remediation programs required to mitigate the impacts of historical mining activity. This program will include a comprehensive evaluation of best practices for future remediation on the property drawing from the Seabridge environmental team’s experiences at KSM and other North America sites as well as engagement with the Tahltan First Nation and BC regulatory officials.
